Earlier this week we wrote about support measures related to the corona virus.<\/a> One of the measures is to obtain deferral of various taxes. This was subject to the condition that a so-called third expert statement had to be submitted within four weeks (after application). It is now known that this statement is no longer necessary. The Cabinet has opted to further relax the deferral.<\/p>\n

If a deferment of payment is applied for, the collection of taxes is immediately stopped. This concerns the assessments of income tax, corporate tax, turnover tax and payroll taxes. For the time being, this applies for a period of three months.<\/p>\n

If an entrepreneur wishes to apply for deferment of payment for a longer period, additional information must be submitted to the Tax Authorities. In particular, it must be demonstrated that the financial problems have been caused by the corona crisis. The entrepreneur is given three months for this.<\/p>\n

How the information should be provided is still under investigation.<\/p>\n
